Avenium Engineering has invested in the latest in 3D scanning equipment to enhance its site service offering.
By utilising advanced 3D scanning technology Avenium Engineering were able to create a digital twin of a Gas Pig Receiver during a site survey.
The digital twin allows Avenium Engineering to:
– Create an accurate record of the as built infrastructure currently on site.
– Identify spacial constraints for valve modifications.
– Allow dimensional control of the equipment to be retrofitted to the currently installed asset.
– Facility to revisit the site virtually allowing design and site installation engineers to re-immerse themselves in the worksite without having to physically visit the site again. This saves time, money and the reduces the environmental footprint of the work scope.
