Control the Operation
of Electrical Switches
To ensure that your operators can only open or close certain valves only when it is safe to do so, you may need to incorporate specific safety parameters, such as measurements of contaminants or various process conditions, into your valve interlocking sequences.
By using Solenoid controlled valve interlocks, such as the Electrical Switch Lock from Sofis, you can control the operation of electrical devices in order to determine that safe process conditions have been met, such as preventing startup of a pump until the suction valve has been opened.
Only after inserting the dedicated interlock key, can the switch on solenoid interlocking device be turned. The secondary key remains trapped until a signal has been sent to the interlock, notifying the operator that the safe process conditions have been met.
