Access into pressure vessels can be potentially hazardous for your operators. For example, during pig launching and receiving, it is essential that the pig trap is isolated, depressurised and drained before the closure door is opened.
Vessel Closure Locks from Sofis, that are integrated into a valve interlocking sequence, prevents the bleedbolt from being removed and thus the closure door from being opened.
Using valve interlocks, you can also incorporate all other vessel functions, like purging and flushing. By interlocking your vent and drain valves with the closure door, you guarantee that the isolation valve and the vessel is vented and drained, before your operators can remove the bleedbolt and unlock the vessel closure door.
Types of Closure Locks
We can supply both the custom designed Closure Lock (CL) from Netherlocks and the DL3 Lock for pig traps from Smith Flow Controls.
These valve interlocks are suitable for use with every type and size of closure door. There are also standard designs available for GD Engineering closure doors.
